So in Week 7 which was the first week of December, I went down to the workshop to a help Phil make a Kabuki Drop from scratch,we had to make the kabuki drop in sections otherwise it would have been too long. So we cut some planks of wood in order get started with making it.But we realised we needed more wood so we had to wait while Phil got more wood and other supplies need to build the drop.So once we cut the wood pieces to length we stopped. The next day instead of continuing to help Phil with the kabuki drop,we were sent over to Cambridge to help build beds for the new dorm rooms being set up there. It was tiring back breaking manual labor, but it was definitely fun! Everyone pitched in to help bring the hugs boxes of the beds up to the top floor (4 flights of stairs!) and then start assembling it!So me and debbie spent the next few days helping to build the beds for the dorms while Wind and Shawn had to settle the ChristmasSing Videos.By then Phil had managed to fix up the Kabuki Drop,so on weds night i went to help him set up the kabuki drop in the sanctuary in the rafter above the stage. It took us awhile to get it up and we got plenty dirty doing so as we had to go up to above the rafters and nail some wooden blocks so that the kabuki drop could be nailed into something for purchase. It took us several hours but we managed to hang the drop above the stage after. However there were some problems in getting the curtain to drop so we decided to settle that another time. Then over the weekend,we did the Mandarin ChristmasSingIt was simple but fun to watch and interesting.Every Weekend from then till christmas was a ChristmasSing by a different Department ending with the English ChristmasSing, things were getting busier and busier and alot more fun at the same time =D
